WATER BASED INK

water based ink Ink Methods Water Based, Discharge, Metallic, Pantone Matching,

Water-based ink utilizes either dyes or pigments in a suspension with water as the solvent. The evaporation of the water is necessary to set or cure the ink. We use gas dryers to increase the efficiency of this method and also to decrease our carbon footprint. Plus, this ink type is safe for Children.

Water Based inks are essentially died into the fabric allowing for a soft hand feel.
This method is best when used on white or light colored garments. The colors are vibrant and should last the life of the shirt if properly taken care of. Water Based inks should be washed before you can feel the full potential of the soft hand feel. Can you say detail?

  • SOFT HAND FEEL
  • BEST WHEN USED ON WHITE AND LIGHT COLOR SHIRTS
  • ECO-FRIENDLY
  • SAFE FOR CHILDREN
  • WORKS WELL WITH PANTONE COLOR MATCHING

Discharge Ink

Discharge Printing is a method which uses a color destroying agent to bleach the dye from a garment. This changes the printed area back to the natural or raw garment color which is usually a tan color. This is referred to as a Pure Discharge.

What we can do for you is add a color pigment infused as a dye that is immune to the agent that will then produce a vibrant color with a soft hand feel. This is referred to as a Color Discharge Print. This ink method is used on medium or dark colored shirts with lighter ink. It works with a variety of brands and styles of T-Shirts, with some styles and colors having stronger results than others. Unless a brand specifically guarantees that a garment is “Dischargeable”, it may not always work. 100% cotton shirts are highly recommended and we may choose an alternate Ink Method such as Water Based Ink for you instead. Yes, it feels as soft as it looks!

We may also run an additional pass to your garments to ensure brightness of, white for example, at no additional cost to you. We can also use a Pantone Color with discharge ink, however results may vary depending on the garment color, brand, and blend of cotton.

Garments printed with Discharge Inks should be washed before you can feel the full potential of the soft hand feel.

GLITTER INK

glitter crystalina ink Ink Methods Water Based, Discharge, Metallic, Pantone Matching,

There are a few different methods in which glitter can be added. There are stock colors which include the standard colors such as silver, gold, red and blue. The glitter you choose will depend on the look you are going for. Some are mixed in with the ink, while others are added after the ink is printed.

The most common form of glitter is Crystalina. This is made with a metal flake that is clear and reflective. It has the “rainbow” effect in it as commonly seen with glitter. The benefit to this type of glitter is that it will take on whatever color is printed underneath it. Crystalina is added after the layer of ink is printed first. These inks and glitter types require a much more open mesh which means it should not be printed on a design that relies on fine detail.

There are also Shimmer Inks which is a very fine glitter and often times preferred over Metallic. Glitter Inks are offered to give your design the extra pizzazz you need for your design to stand out of a crowd.

  • ADDS PIZZAZZ AND UNIQUENESS TO YOUR DESIGN.
  • VIBRANT COLORS
  • CRYSTALINA WILL NOT FLAKE OFF
  • CAN ONLY BE DONE WITH SCREEN PRINTING
  • SOME GLITTER TYPES NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN

PANTONE INK COLOR MATCHING

inkmethods Ink Methods Water Based, Discharge, Metallic, Pantone Matching,Although we strive to be on the same page as our Clients at all times, we cannot see the color you are dreaming up in your mind. All computer screens have backlights and can be seen differently from one computer to another. Color is subjective, and therefore it is important to give us a Pantone Color to ensure accuracy.

The Pantone Color Matching System is largely a standardized color reproduction system. By standardizing the colors, different manufacturers in different locations can all refer to the Pantone system to make sure colors match without direct contact with one another. Pantone colors are described by their allocated number (typically referred to as, for example, ‘PMS 130′) and are often used for branding to instill constancy and recognition.

Pantone Colors are an additional cost, but does not compare to your peace of mind. In the event that you do not choose a Pantone Color, we will do our best to use a color that best suits your design. In fact, we recommend that you choose a color from our Stock Color Chart when filling out your Upload Form. If you do not, our Production Team will choose one for you. *Please note that garments that are not dischargeable may not produce an accurate Pantone Color*
