Remember Your Roots is a clothing company that desires to be different. Our goal is to provide consumers with a more ecological clothing alternative without having to sacrifice style. Remember Your Roots is a vehicle in which we hope to promote positive change that we want to see in the world. We believe that every day you pass up on doing something which inspires you, is a day lost in becoming who you truly want to be. Remember Your Roots is your inspiration to be what lies within.

Unlike other major clothing brands we believe in creating quality products by utilizing only 100% organic and/or postconsumer recycled materials. The importance of being an organic clothing company cannot be understated. Environmental damage done by companies making clothing out of conventional cotton is immense. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. In addition, federal regulations prohibit the use of genetically engineered seed for organic farming. All cotton sold as organic in the United States must meet strict federal regulations covering how the cotton is grown. Remember Your Roots not only reflects the inner passions of our consumers, but is also a symbol to remember and care for the environment around us.

To fully understand the positive impact organic cotton has on the environment, we encourage everyone to visit the Organic Trade Association www.ota.com.

The inspiration and idea of Remember Your Roots was created by founder Michael Cranford in 2009. It was during this time in the Washington DC metropolitan area that Michael saw a growing need to find an alternative to the increasing destruction that conventional cotton farming has on the environment. Remember Your Roots, as it is now, was outlined and formed throughout June 2011, by both Michael Cranford and Paul Yarnall. The designs are inspired by the company’s organic nature and are meant for the eco-friendly community. Every design is personally researched, developed and created in a limited edition quantity before going to market.

Think about Remember Your Roots Apparel the next time you need a gift for the earth conscious friend in your life.
